Happy New Year! Hello 2016 :)

Happy new year everyone I hope you are all well. Today I'm going to be sharing my new year's resolutions because I'm actually so motivated to keep to them you don't even understand. Sorry if this post is quite lazy or has lots of typos I'm writing and publishing this at 2am as well as doing other productive things like washing the dishes and tidying my room. Last year my mum told me to wash the dishes and I still haven't done it yet sorry mum love you <3 😂

 Here are my new years resolutions: 

1. Not care about what people at school think

I mean if it's positive comments I'll be happy to say thanks for them but if people say 'your YouTube sucks' (when I actually start YouTube) then I shouldn't really care because after year 11 I will probably never see them again anyway. 

Sometimes people used to say to me 'Do you buy your Instagram followers?' which was pretty annoying because no I don't, I don't even have money to buy food like😂😂 I worked hard on my account and it's taken me ages to get to 4k because I kept quitting ahahaha so I don't care what you think because my followers care about me sooo

2. Stay healthy

I was going to title this one 'lose weight' but staying healthy also means eating like the right amount to lose weight because losing weight can be dangerous if you starve yoursef etc which I'm not going to do.  Might buy Charlotte Crosby's fitness DVD's idk but I'm determined to exercise a few times a week at least and not buy all the shiz like chocolate and crisps very often. 

3. Talk to new/more people

There is a lot of people in my circle of friends/ friends of friends that I haven't really spoken to before and I would like to get to know them, I don't even care about gender or sexuality or anything as long as they are nice people. And I want to meet my internet friends definitely at some point (pizza squad you know who you are ;) ) :D I want to talk to my friend Tom Knight more, he is a younower and he is a nice guy so yep 

4. Start a YouTube channel

Whether I get 2 subscribers or 500 subscribers I want to do this as I think it will improve my confidence this year as I need it in order to fulfill my job in media production. Also I quite like the idea of editing videos and since I've just got my new camera this would be the perfect opportunity to use it. 

5. Socialize more

Quite similar to number 3 sorta but I hardly go out with friends so I would quite like to do that more and with more different friends too instead of just the same ones.

Last minute christmas gift ideas! :D

- Soap and glory scent set (body sprays) £9.50

- The Body shop lippy star £10 

- lush gift sets - usually there are some that are £10 or under that contain bath bombs, bubble bars etc

- Zoella beauty products from superdrug or feel unique (some are under £10)

- Tanya Burr lipglosses 

- Baby lips - usually £2.99 each from drugstores

- Nail varnish!! Most girls love this, I especially like Essie nail varnish which are £8 each but worth the price! I also like Barry M and Rimmel. 

- makeup - obviously this is very vague but if you watch lots of beauty bloggers on youtube you would know which products are best and how much they cost.

New Instagram Theme & How I edit my pics <3

As it's winter I have decided to have a new theme, inspired by @asprinkleofclo on instagram. I love this filter because it looks so tumblr and suits the winter/autumn time better!

How I edit my pics (now)

I used to use picfx and go on pfx then pfx 5 to make them brighter, but since watching Chloe Louise' video I have decided to follow in her footsteps. I am now using the app VSCOCAM which has lots of different filters, when you download it, it doesn't show all of them so what I did was go on 'shop' on the sidebar and download the free filters. The one I use to edit my pics is HB2 so you need to download the HB (Hypebeast) set HB1-HB2 as shown below which is free! 

After this load a picture you have taken from your camera roll, go on filters, click HB2 and you can play with the exposure and contract etc of the picture to see how you want it. And that's all I do now to edit my picture! Don't forget to save to camera roll aswell.

Makeup Collection & Storage

One of my most frequently asked questions is where do you get your makeup storage from? Well this post tells you everything you need to know. 

Below are some photographs from some of my instagram posts which show all the makeup storage I have. 

In the first picture it shows pretty much most of my storage. The mirror shown in other photos is from Ikea. The 2 drawer glass set is from muji, which I bought when I went to London but you can go onto their website www.muji.com and order it or you can search for a store. I have also added a screenshot some information from their website about it. In this drawer set I have some of my mascaras, eyeliners, concealers and skincare and lip crayons in. 

To the right of this, I keep my real techniques brushes and palettes in a large and small skurar pot from Ikea. These are handy to use and look really cute and they are super cheap, probably around £1-£1.50 and maybe £2 depending on the size. You will find these in the candle section of your local ikea. The candle tray to match is also from that collection.

And last but not least, my lip balm/stick holder. I have 3 of these and 2 of them I use and the other is in my cupboard. They were from poundland so they cost £1 each (obviously). One of them I put on top of my 2 drawer set which I keep my lipglosses, lipsticks, powders, and eyeshadow in. The other one in front of my Victoria Secret sprays keep my blushes, bronzers, small eyeshadows and baby lips in tidy. 

So that is my makeup collection, it might be small compared to other beauty bloggers, but I am happy with it (and I'm getting more for christmas e.g eos lip balms and the Naked 1 palette and mac lipstick in Creme cup).

Would You Rather (Beauty)

Questions

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up? Nice hair and no makeup because I usually do that anyway. 

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out? OMG WHAT?! Eyelashes fall out because I can put fake ones on. 

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life? Sephora, it has more makeup brands. 

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm? Lipgloss/liner look

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush? Obvious foundation line I'll just rub it in all the way to school

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public? Neither tbh

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered? Bad orange-y spray tan I'll wash it off 

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color? Bad hair colour, it will wash out or dye it back but a bad haircut would take ages to grow

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever? Twitter, survived without it longer than YouTube. 

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara? Makeup brushes, I'll just use my hands 

Beauty tag! (40 Questions)

Hey guys, hope you are well, I am thanks for asking xD I have been searching for tags to do and I came across the beauty tag, so I have copied the questions from www.tagsforeverybody.blogspot.co.uk and now I am going to answer them. Also my snapchat is open so go and add me its laurajcarter29 

Now onto the questions! 

SKINCARE

-How many times do you wash your face daily? If I'm honest, like once in the morning because I don't want to get any dirt or germs on my face because ew spots >:( 

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo) combo I thinkkk not really sure to be honest. 

-What is your current facial wash? Uh well I use garnier micellar water to take my makeup off if that counts?

-Do you exfoliate? no lol 

-What brand do you use? ----

-What moisturizer do you use? I just get a random one from wilkinsons of something, or maybe simple

-Do you have freckles? Nope 

-Do you use eye cream? Lol no whats the point 

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin? Nope never had acne or hardly ever get spots 

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No what is that

MAKE-UP

-What foundation do you use? I use the pink maybelline BB Cream in light 

-How about concealer? Used to use Collection Lasting Perfection but I found that under my eyes it was too heavy, so I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer instead. 

-Do you know your undertone color?

Nah

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

They look sooo nice, but I haven't tried them before incase I look like an idiot or I blind myself or I can't get them off. 

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months? Yeah I don't know if I stick to this because I've had my lash sensational a few months ops 

-What brand of mascara do you use? Benefit Roller lash mainly but otherwise Maybelline Lash Sensational. Or both at the same time. 
-Sephora or MAC? Sephora because there's more makeup brands and MAC tests on animals. 

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No the brand is over priced in my opinion. 

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application? I use my elf eye crease brush for eyeshadow sometimes  but otherwise my real techniques core collection (orange) and starter kit (purple) Although I have lost my eyeliner brush *cries* and also brushes that come with eyeshadow palettes. 

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes? Nope 

-For the face? Yes

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)? It would have to be 'strange' from the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. 

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Liquid for the top, pencil for the bottom.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil? Every single time

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

Best eyeshadow as it stays on all time time tbh

-Do you use mineral makeup?

Idk what that is? I use loreal, rimmel and mac lipsticks 

-What is your favorite lipstick?

Loreal's nude lipstick in 'Jennifers Nude'

-How about lipgloss?

Tanya Burr lipgloss in 'Chic' 

-What is your favorite blush to use?

My blush in the sleek face form palette. 

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

No I don't have an ebay account. 

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

Yeah it's cheap enough 

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

I did when I went to America, but otherwise no. 
-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Hmmm no never thought about it, not interested enough I think. 
-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

No I never get mascara on my skin or anything like that

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

What do you mean?

Neutral suit me better but I like the look of colourful shades (e.g turquoise eyshadow with eyeliner) on other people

Depends on the day. 

Feeling pretty: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Feeling tired: Rimmel wake me up concealer

Feeling bright and happy: collection eyeshadow 

Feeling spotty af: bb cream 

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on? 

Yeah I mostly do anyway

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

Yeah it's the natural me and I don't get horrible skin

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup brand? 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm RIMMEL it doesn't have any weaknesses in their products. 
-What do you think of Makeup?

Introduction to my blog & 25 facts about me

So I have decided to create a blog and it will be based on beauty and lifestyle mainly but sometimes fashion and other things like tags, q&a's, facts about me, life stories etc. 

To start my blog I have made a list of 25 facts about me for you to read below:

1. I am 15, and have just applied for sixth form at my school.

2. I started themed instagram accounts when I was 11 or 12, and started with a pastel theme.

3. My favourite colour is blue, preferably turquoise or light blue, royal blue is also nice. 

4. For GCSE I took Media Studies, Geography, core subjects (Maths, English, Science, RE) Spanish, Drama and Textiles. 

5. My favourite youtubers are: Sprinkle of Glitter, Zoella, Sacconejolys, Saffron Barker, Eve Bennett, ThatcherJoe, Danisnotonfire, Amazingphil, Elmo Films and Gabriella (velvetgh0st). Sorry that is quite a lot I love so many people on YouTube!!

6. My first ever iPhone was the iPhone 6 in silver (64gb) and I love it very much :)

7. When I was 9 I moved from near Liverpool to Bristol and I still live in Bristol now. 

8. I still have the golden egg bath bomb from Lush to use from Easter!! Oopsy hope its okay ahahahahaha.

9. I hate science but out of physics, chemistry and biology I'm best at chemistry. 

10. I know lots of pickup lines!! Its weird but I once read this fanfic on wattpad and this character said loads and they have been in my head ever since.
